A google experimental room

Google has a new service called “Lively“, so I thought I’d try it out. I first searched for rooms tagged with “Chinese”, to see if there might be language practice opportunities, etc. I found an interesting room here http://www.lively.com/dr?rid=5591446072241343503.
However, I’ve discovered that Foreign languages (UTF-8 encoding) don’t work, or at least didn’t work for me!

Site maintenance notice 3

(apparently in a long series of notices…)
I’ve changed the permalinks structure, and also changed the “about” page (now it says “Why I’m in China”). I think just changing  things has rewritten several key fields in the database. Hopefully this will also allow comments again, etc.
