When I got back from the Olympic Torch parade route here in Harbin, I had some time to read emails, write this blog, etc.
UPDATE: I found an interesting RSS misleading entry (http://jayaprakashkv.blogspot.com/2008/07/free-windows-vista-sp1-adobe-photoshop.html) on a free version of Vista (legal illegal), a free version of Adobe Photoshop CS3 (again legal! illegal), and a free illegal license code for VMware’s Workstation (the one I would like to have for running multiple OSs on a single computer.
The RSS entry site has a lot of this type of find, by the way.
The people making the free software and free illegal license keys offer (http://www.bastillwork.net/) coincidentally also sell a couple of other products that came with one of my computers, a rather complete and good program called “CyberLink DVD Suite”. I do not recommend this site due to their practice of giving out “cracked / illegal” activation keys.
Looking around their site, they seem to have a really comprehensive array of software and products available.
Another item on their site that I recommend is the free eBook on SEO. Its worth downloading and reading, if you do any sort of web site development. http://www.bastillwork.net/ebook/free-ebook/index.php
I don’t have the current version, because I have been in China, and haven’t used the program, but I might upgrade once I get back to the USA.
There’s some other software on the site that I’m thinking of getting. I’ve downloaded it, and am trying it out.
Stay tuned (shameless plug).
I have the email exchanges with the person running this “program” to support the above changes. I spent 2-3 days emailing him to try and get a valid key, and then a key that I could register (meaning the software would belong to me).
