Eating Desert at Beijing Airport

Here’s a picture of a desert that I had in Beijing Airport last August, when leaving for India. It was a Korean restaurant, and judging from the staff’s reactions after I ordered it, I doubt that anyone else had ordered it in a long while…

Soft sleepers, train tickets

Immediately after arriving in Xi’an, we got train tickets back to Beijing. This is the end of the summer (busiest travel season), and it’s almost impossible to get tickets within a few days. Xi’an

Xi’an (pronounced as two syllables, and written (in Pinyin) with a quote mark to separate the syllables, means West Peace. It was the capital of China for quite a while. My history knowledge doesn’t go much farther than that.
